The final event of the #EnergySmartSTART educational programme in Latvia was attended by 193 students from 21 schools. The event brought together young people from four Latvian cities – Bauska, Kuldiga, Saldus, and Tukums – where they had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of physics, renewable energy, and sustainable development. On a specially equipped platform, participants embarked on a virtual reality journey into a wind turbine, learned about its operation and importance of green energy production, participated in quizzes, expansive games, and physics experiments.

Ignitis Renewables contributed to the implementation of the programme by creating an interactive, engaging learning experience and encouraged young people’s interest in science and green energy, thus strengthening the link between local communities and energy project developers.
