Working in this field, our colleagues analyze markets from different standpoints, including legal and technical. Before finalizing an agreement, they scrutinize every detail of a project, which other teams and departments then take over.

The Ignitis Renewables legal team is focused on supporting business growth through M&A and greenfield projects. The team’s top priority is ensuring that the company meets all regulatory standards while negotiating the best possible terms. From the early stages of land acquisition and permitting to construction and financing, this team is involved in all of our projects across Baltic Region and Poland.

Each of the core team members specializes in a different legal field, including M&A, corporate law, project financing, regulatory compliance, and contract law. The team navigates emerging regulatory landscapes, especially in frontier fields like offshore wind energy in the Baltics.

Based in the Baltics and Poland, the team is united in its positive thinking and dynamic approach, which is essential when chasing deadlines and deliverables in pursuit of a greener future for all.

No project at Ignitis Renewables would be possible without the valuable input of our finance and human resources teams, all working under the business support umbrella. Both teams are always there for the rest of the organisation to make sure that things are running smoothly, both in terms of cashflow and payroll, and team cohesion.

Our HR team is responsible for everything from talent acquisition to taking care of our colleagues’ skill development. As is the case around the whole group, diversity and inclusion is a major cornerstone that’s factored into all decisions and processes.

From checking that all of our invoices are in order to overseeing major contracts, our finance team is always there for our colleagues. They are the ultimate embodiment of our responsibility and partnership values.

As we grow our portfolio of wind and solar parks across Europe, we need to make sure that the assets we acquire are up to par. Our operations and maintenance team is overseeing the commissioning and takeover of every project, making sure that all boxes are ticked. And once the object starts generating power, the team takes full ownership of it.

The team is diverse in its roles and responsibilities, encompassing everyone from site technicians to data engineers. One of the main objectives the entire team has is making sure all assets, from wind turbines to individual solar panels, are maintained according to OEM requirements and regulations. Not only that, our technical asset managers and performance engineers work hand in hand to find and eliminate any gaps in power generation performance. For us, every KW matters!

The project management department is responsible for the entire chain of project implementation, from the moment a project is greenlit right up to its transfer for operation to the operations and maintenance department.

The main objective of our project managers is facilitating the associated procedures and making sure that clients’ demands and specifications are duly accounted for in day-to-day operations. To accomplish this, project managers work in tandem with their colleagues responsible for health and safety, quality assurance, planning, financial and legal matters, environmental protection, and even communications and marketing.

According to many estimates, the energy sector – and especially renewable energy – is set to grow rapidly in the next 10 years, fundamentally transforming our understanding of what it means to power human civilization in the 21st century. Needless to say, project managers are a major part of this process. So, if you’re interested in moving the world towards a brighter, more sustainable future – what better way to do that than by joining our project management team!

Our engineering and construction department is responsible for bringing civil, mechanical, wind, and solar engineering projects all the way to completion. Its team of talented and experienced specialists is always ready to support projects currently under construction and those already operational.

Given the theoretical knowledge and practical know-how necessary to implement most of our projects, we’re looking for people from diverse professional backgrounds and having a wide range of skill sets within, and beyond, the field of engineering.

Our Power-to-X department is charged with a fascinating and innovative task. In cases where the amount of energy produced exceeds immediate demand, the excess can be either left unused, which is extremely wasteful, or stored in batteries for future use. The problem with that, however, is the limited capacity and low durability of the batteries available to us today.

To address this issue, new technologies and methods are being developed as we speak. These include the conversion of energy into hydrogen, methanol, synthetic methane, and other compounds. The objective of our Power-to-X team is to seek better ways of utilizing surplus energy and maintaining balance inside the grid.

What makes this line of work particularly exciting is that solutions must be applicable region-wide, as Europe continues to shift towards green energy. Since Lithuania is ideally positioned to both secure its own energy autonomy and become a net energy exporter, this provides our employees with lots of meaningful, dynamic work on a global scale.
