Why should I contribute to developing renewable energy projects?

In a time of transformation towards environmental sustainability, renewable energy projects offer landowners a stable income source and an investment in a safer and greener future. They occupy only a part of the land, leaving plenty of space for animal grazing, growing vegetables or crops, and similar activities.

Furthermore, wind and solar power is globally acknowledged for effectively reducing greenhouse emissions. By leasing your land to green energy production, you support eco-friendly practices while maintaining ongoing agricultural activities uninterrupted.

How do I know if the land I own is suitable for this project?

If your land area is:

For solar farms – at least 1 hectare, but a project would require an array of about 10 hectares.

For wind farms — if you have in the property a plot of land (or part of it) of sufficient area, where the foundations of a wind farm with a diameter of 23 metres can be installed

Please provide information about the land you wish to lease/sell (address of the plot, unique number of the plot, purpose of the plot, area of the plot) if you would like us to consider your offer and keep this information in the register of potential land for development. When developing renewable energy projects, we always contact landowners who have expressed a willingness to cooperate first. If your land area does not meet our criteria, we encourage you to cooperate with neighbours.

How much will it cost?

All costs related to the preparation of the land for construction are funded by Ignitis Renewables. You can successfully work on the rest of your land or rent it to others. Your land does not lose value and has the potential to increase further with additional investment in infrastructure. Rental payments guarantee you a secure, long-term income.

What maintenance does a wind and solar farm need?

You can have peace of mind knowing that our renewable energy projects are overseen by our experienced specialists’ team. The remote monitoring system monitors the object around the clock, seven days a week, so safety is guaranteed in the event of even the slightest issue.
