On August 29 Ignitis Renewables participated in the harvest festival in Płośnica, which was an excellent opportunity to meet with residents, representatives of local organizations, and local government officials. The event attracted many participants, and one of its highlights was a presentation of traditional harvest wreaths, showcasing the richness of local customs and the community’s involvement.
Our zone also drew a lot of attention from visitors, who were eager to learn about the world of renewable energy. The opportunity to tour the interior of a wind turbine using VR technology was particularly favorite. The photo booth was equally popular, encouraging people to have fun together and capture their harvest festival memories.
Most valuable of all, however, were the conversations. Residents eagerly visited our zone, asked questions, and showed interest in both renewable energy sources and our operations. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, openness to dialogue, and great interest in further collaboration.
Such encounters reinforce our belief that building relationships with local communities is best started through presence, conversation, and getting to know one another.
